Movie Opener Final Cut

https://youtu.be/x4rv0KfqPG0 After going through the peer review, I made a few changes to the film opener. In the beginning, I added a clip of people walking so that the town could feel inhabited instead of only showing sceneries. I added a clip of chaos happening, firefighter shot, and people running around frantically in the second part of the opener, which made the message clearer and was also suggested by many. In addition, I took out the fake blood in the sink because everyone said it made the video confusing and happened out of no where. I shorten some of the clips that was dragging out so it could be more precise and not get boring. Lastly, I changed the title to "The Rose bloom" because I felt that the former one was a little long.

Peer Reviews

Film #5 Peer Reviews What specific elements of the film opening did you like? Was there anything that left you confused? (be specific) What suggestions do you have for changes? I like the opening scenery. I am not sure what the movie is about other than the flower burning. Some more acting in the next video so I can understand the plot more. I really liked the establishing shots of nature and the close-up shots used throughout the film No nothing left me confused I recommend that you add more title cards in the film or shorten the establishing shots to make it go faster I loved the music in this film opening -- I thought it built great suspense and fit very nicely with the cool and creative concept. Good job! Some shots were a little confusing (first blood dripping in the sink and the knife). Also there were a lot of the same shots that went on for a l

Editing week 2

I decided to put the title of the video at the end because it was only the opening and I used the font Ravie which is fancy, bold, and it looks really pleasant. I also use the font Poor Richard for context clues during the video; it looks good and it is legible.  I slowed down certain shots that were a little shorts, especially I where I had writing over it in order to give the viewers time to read it, and I sped up other shots that I filmed in slow motion but ended up being too long. Towards the end, I use the wipe transitions in between the shots to give it a little sequence and a cool effect. I kept the beginning, where the credits are displayed with the original audio. I decided to put the music "Truth Untold" and let it play throughout the video because it starts out calm then get more drastic as the music progress, which I think fits the video really well. I also like the song because it is a powerful, dramatic, and upbeat classica

Editing week 1

I started the editing by gathering all the footages and putting them in premier pro. I started the video by writing the opening credits, consisting of the film production, producer, director, and actor. I used the informal Roman font because it was simple and a little fancy but still legible. In the first couple of scenery shots, I used the posturize video effect which makes the shots clearer and makes the different colors and shade of greens stand out more. I used a cross dissolve transition so that the shots can transition smoothly, and I also used the cross zoom transition between two clips in the beginning. Every thing so far is kept with the original sound but I plan to add a song playing throughout the video at the end. At first I started the editing process using video editor but I faced a lot of difficulty since the features were limited and it did not have any transit

Filming 2

Image
This is a picture of me filming the last scene of the film opening. During filming I had some trouble keeping the phone steady and the scenes where I am also in the shot were a little challenging. As a solution, I purchased a tripod and it made filming a lot easy and kept everything steady. I also needed it for other usage as well.
