Five Master Edits

Contrast was my first technique. It is used to show the contrast between two different scenarios. I demonstrated by using the difference between fake flowers and reals ones.

Parallelism was my second technique. Parallelism connects two scenes together by highlighting the difference and similarities between them. The first shot is a shot of nature  seen in a plain field with only trees and a river. The second shot is filled with buildings and cars. The two shot represents the parallelism in a location, demonstrating how the world as evolved over time.

Symbolism was my second technique. Symbolism is used to showcase the connection between two scenes/shots. The first shot was of a tree and the second one was of a paper. The two shots symbolizes the connection that papers comes from trees. It also showcase the importance of saving the trees in our environment by not wasting paper and recycling.

Simultaneity was my third technique. Simultaneity cuts between two shots occurring at the same period of time to drive suspense. I demonstrated this by using a shot of someone waiting in a car in a parking lot, while the other shot shows me walking through an aisle in a store. The two scenes can foreshadow that something might happen to one of the characters, building suspense.

Leitmotif was my third technique. Leitmotif includes a reoccurring theme associated with a particular person, idea, or situation. The theme in this case was time, and it can be seen in all of the shots. This signify that times is running out fast and the student needs to finish the assignment as soon as possible.
